Cortney & Brian hosted their Jewish ceremony in their living room at their stunning home in Tolono, Illinois. This was my first time documenting an Illinois wedding as well as a Jewish ceremony and I was extremely honored to capture this intimate day for them! It’s common that the couple stands under a chuppah, which signifies hospitality and is an essential part in their nuptials. Their fireplace mantle displayed the chuppah with a stunning floral arrangement made by Pollen & Pastry. Their vows were beautiful and they shared a bottle of wine that Cortney intentionally saved for her wedding day. What a dream to finally share in these traditions with a very awesome couple! Every detail of this space was crafted with love and the majority of the decorations were done by the bride. She divided the living room and the kitchen by using curtains and rods to split the home into dedicated ceremony and reception spaces. All of the important parts to a wedding were included! They popped open some champagne while they signed their marriage certificate in the basement. They opened gifts from one another and had a moment of peace & quiet to really take it all in. We took some confetti photos with LOVE balloons and sparkler photos with their friends outside. My favorite part of their day was having a private First, Last, and Only dance in their living room with one of their cats. I wish them a lifetime of happiness, wealth, and love! Mazel tov!!
